Every morning you get up and look outside the window . Wow ! Its a nice bright sunny day that welcomes you with shining rays .What you see the next moment is what you do not have time to register. For the obvious reason that you are a part of the endless rat race . Running behind something known as Success which most of us cannot even define !
This bid to excel in almost every assignment we take , every project we do takes away from us the most valuable possession – Our Identity ! Because what we show to the world or let me put it this way – what we try to be at times (may i say most of the times) takes over what we really are .
What most of us are facing today is the Role Vs Identity Crisis . We have a multitude of roles but just one identity . Change they say is permanent ! You can change your role , act according to the circumstance , adapt (as rightly said Survival of the fittest) but why forget Who you actually are .
But that happens when you wear a mask . Initially we are aware of it but gradually the mask becomes the seeming reality for us . This is when the trouble in the paradise begins because its now that we are trapped ! We do not understand if our current role has reversed our identity or we still are the same .
We assume different roles for numerous responsibilities and duties . We hide emotions , portray a happy you ! In all this while pick up a mirror and look into it , try to figure out what made you like this .
May be the first question that you need to answer What do i stand for , What will i be never ever ready to give up , what am i looking for ,What is that most important thing that keeps my world rocking !
When you answer this you would be in a position to identify yourself . But what is more important now is to hold onto your identity - No matter what you have gotta do next , no matter how big a deal you have gotta crack .
What matters is what you are and how you can make things happen by being what you are !
